29 Nov 1995, Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina — Mostar, divided by a river with Bosnian Muslims on the east, and Bosnian Croats on the west, was perhaps the most destroyed city in the war. As a result of the Dayton Agreement the city has been reunified, and people can cross freely back and forth over the bridges that previously were only open to 250 women and children per day. — Image by © David Turnley/CORBIS
